Kostras characters (graphite on textured paperboard).
Posters (collage, acrylic and ink).
Illustrations for an urban music magazine (graphite on textured paperboard).
I created this series of drawings to illustrate articles for an urban magazine. The series were divided into Kostras and Hands series. The “Kostras” were characters that expressed the anxiety and incertitude of the teen generation. The idea behind the hand series was more abstract and represented social topics like women oppression and human obsessions.
Having to generally work with various colours in my commercial work, I tend to work my personal art projects with a restricted color palette. This criteria allows me to express an idea through lines and textures, maximizing the perspective and the facial expressions of my characters.
